the badlands can be a harsh environment with heat and dust during the day. i thought this evening light brought out the beauty of the basdlands however.

Beautiful photo, with a very interesting landscape and a great sky above. Excellent use of light in order to emphasize the topography. I think that the image was oversharpened and looks for this reason somewhat artificial – see particularly the sky/land demarcation.

Exquisite colours and sharpness. You've caught the light perfectly. Good composition, with the horizon just below the half way mark. This sky deserves to get a lot of attention. Bravo!
--- I just read Roly's critique, and the demarcation between sky and land is there. It doesn't bother me, but if you want, you can clone it out very delicately using a 300% zoom and a 1-pixel size cloning brush.

Using your Polarization filter here make the picture so great! I love the sky in the way you've taken! The color of the land look more strange that I've ever seen.

Hu! What a landscape! The sharpness quality is tremendous. Very good contrasts highlighting the reliefs of clouds and mountains too. The color balance is strange, here (colors's reflection from the ground to the clouds?). Really good shot!

Gorgeous light Lyn and excellent detail. You were blessed, of course, with a dramatic sky and sunlight to highlight the beautiful hill forms. The polarizer, which seems to be a staple in your photography, works to advantage here with the rich blue sky. Fine work all the way around.
