Photographer's Note

I would like to share one more photo of a beach from Maui island. It is Kaihalulu Beach, the only red sand beach in Hawaii. It is a part of the Road to Hana experience. It is actually in Hana already.
It was pretty difficult to find it, and we met on our way plenty of people who gave up. We didn't and we met only one other person on the whole beach.

We made the mistake of making plenty of stops on our road to Hana. We should have stopped just at few places: Blue Pool in Ulaino, Black Sand Beach in Waianapanapa State Park (previous upload), this Red Sand Beach shown here, and finally Pipiwai Trail, which is breathtaking, even literally when you walk in the forest of Guava and Mango trees with this incredible smell of exotic fruit around you, going from one waterfall to another, and finally reaching 400-foot Waimoku Falls.

The weather was pretty bad (overcast) and it is a scan (from negative).
