Photographer's Note

December is upon us and Christmas is near. We recently got out all of our Christmas decorations.
Christmas is a holiday that is celebrated in almost every country of the world. Every country has their own traditions. I think Germany started the decorating of trees. It is a tradition that many also do in America.
Each family also has their own ways of celebrating the holidays. For children it is a fun time of receiving presents from "Santa." Many people go to church and celebrate the birth of Jesus long time ago in Bethlehem.
Special songs are sung and snow usually falls. Right now we are having a winter storm and different people have lights decorating their houses.
It is a fun time of year for family and celebration.
I took this picture of a snowman ornament off of our tree. I had the digital macro setting on for close ups. I also did a little pp work of autocontrast and I angled it a bit offcenter.
Happy Holidays! Feel free to share a special celebration you share from your family or country. I would love to hear more about Christmas around the world.
