Photographer's Note

I thought I would post this shot as a reminder of warmer days. We have been having winter storms for the past few days, lots and lots of snow. So, as I was browsing through my pictures, this one jumped out at me.
I took it on a nice fall day on my college campus. There is a grove of Aspen trees that are a beautiful green in the spring and then turn all shades of colors for the fall. The trunks are a stark white with brown lines and when the wind blows through them the leaves make a wonderful music.
The contrasting blue sky and green grass were awesome additions. It is hard to correlate the weather sometimes in order to get the perfect shot. The dark shadow in the middle is from a light post, no matter what angle I shot it at, I couldn't get it out.
I added some fill light, highlight, and a tiny bit of shadow. I also sharpened it a bit to enhance the contrast.
