Photographer's Note
I have enjoyed all the beautiful pictures of various market places throughout the world. The colors of fine woven wool, the beauty of fresh vegitables, or the amazing productions of various artisans.
I thought to myself, there has to be a paralell here in the part of the world where I live.
Sure enough; water softener salt formed by machine, packaged by machine in bright colored plastic bags with easy opening tops for easy emptying into the soft water system.
I hope my sarcasm hasn't offended anyone.
On a technical note, this was taken with a point and shoot, but one with the a beautiful little lens and nice real-time histogram. I did overide the meter and forced a 0.7 f-stop under-exposure. And of course to portray the scene accurately there was no post processing except for USM, crop and scale.

Very nice...although it's a shame to use this when you have all that other great gear sitting at home. You must have been stuck at the market waiting for your wife...
Very pretty. I like the colors. It's amazing the magic you can work with just about any kind of camera. I'll bet we could turn you lose for a day with a POS pinhole camera using 110 film and you would come back with something interesting.
