Photographer's Note
The Great Salt Lake is among the saltiest bodies of water in the world, containing approximately 6 times the average salt content of the ocean. This is due to the fact that the lake has no outlets. Water evaporates from the surface, leaving the minerals behind. The lake is the remnant of the ancient Lake Bonneville which covered much of the state of Utah and parts of the surrounding states during the last ice age.

Hi Brandon,
nice shot - good POV and composition. That salt looks like snow :)

from the thumbnail, i also thought it was snow :)
great low pov with the mountains far away in the background giving the viewer an idea about the size of the lake.
i have some difficulties to fully enjoy landscapes. somehow i think they belong to the cinema, but i tried once...
