On Saturday, we went on an excursion up the Snake River. As we were waiting to board our tour boat, this tugboat went up the river. This is what I found out about her from TUGBOAT INFORMATION.com:

"Built in 1957, by G.M. Nichols Boat Works of Hood River, Oregon (hull #94) as the Shepard for the Shepard Towing Company of Portland, Oregon.

The tug was later acquired by Albert Bernert Incorporated of Oregon City, Oregon. Where she was renamed as the Lori B.

In 1981, Albert Bernert Incorporated became Bernert Barge Lines Incorporated of Oregon City, Oregon[, w]here the tug retained her name.

She is a twin screw tug, rated at 1,800 horsepower. "

Hi Murat

This tug boat is almost as low in the water as coal carriers on the Grand Canal in China. Good sharpness and nice reflections. Tfs!

Hello Murat,

You have captured this tug-boat with exceptional clarity and I love how the reflections add to its impact.
The wake gives the boat a really good sense of movement.

I wonder why it has such a tall tower, which makes it appear a little top heavy. Perhaps it is used for mending bridges.

Hello Murat,
A great shot of this tugboat with quite a large tower. It stands out well from the smooth and slightly hazy slopes in the background. Also the reflections in the river look good.
