While we were boarding out daily excursion boat, the Queen Of The West, which would be our hone for the following week was approaching the pier.

"Queen of the West is a stern-driven paddle wheel riverboat originally built in 1995 at Nichols Bros. Boat Builders for the American West Steamboat Company for overnight river cruising on the Columbia & Snake Rivers within the United States. She is currently owned and operated by American Cruise Lines. The Queen of the West originally carried up to 167 passengers, but now carries 120 following her 2011 refurbishment for ACL. The ship has 67 cabins spread over 4 decks." (From Wikipedia)

Hello Murat,
She looks quite traditional in spite of being practically brand new. Life on board is probably more comfortable than on any similar boats from the old days. She is a strong eye-catcher but the rugged scenery means more than half of this picture and the WS. The reflections are nice too.

Hi Murat
A good recreation of a traditional paddle wheeler. When I went to the Inside Passage we cruised on a traditional styled small ship with even less people on board. Good photo.

Most people from outside the US associate paddle steamers with the Mississippi River rather than the Snake River or the Columbia River. Superb reflections with good colour and sharpness. Tfs!

Hello Murat,

This is a very regal looking boat!
When I read your title, I immediately added 'The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba', with accompanying Handel overture!
Your photograph shows a very well placed boat, with excellent reflections preceding it!
It stands out dramatically against the sombre b/g.

Hello Murat,
I didn't immediately expect this photo to be taken in Washington State.
I had already heard that Washington's nickname is 'The Evergreen State' because of its many natural areas and forests.
The environment of this river seems to be different, rather desert-like but certainly very beautiful.
The boat is also very beautiful and the banks are impressive.
The red paddlewheel shows up nicely in both photos in the WS.
