Photographer's Note
This guy and about 200 others fish away for fresh clams in from of my home. So busy. They seem to swallow them whole .... about 8-9 in a few hours during the right tide height. Surf Scoter Duck. Interesting animal behavior. David

Hi David, must they have a nice stomach to digest whole clams, or maybe they spit out the shell after a pre-chew? Really an interesting and curious post, good quality of details despite the distance. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hi David,
Good shot, excellent timing to take the view with the dynamic impression, so nice brightness and blue tone for water, tfs.

Hello David,
What an amazing shot!
We can see the clam, tightly grasped in the duck's beak!
Normally, we would be searching for sharpness of details but, the motion blur and the water details give this photograph a wonderful sense of fluidity, that adds so much more information, beyond the creatures themselves.
Thank you for sharing this,
Bev :-)
