Photographer's Note

I always wanted a railroad vanishing point shot in my portfolio, so on the way back from Valdosta one afternoon I stopped and got one just outside of Quitman, GA.

For some reason I was kneeling down when I took this and would probably have preferred standing as I would have got more of the track in. Nonetheless, it seems to match better with some of my pier shots (in earlier posts), hence keeping the name similar to other posts with similar vansahing points. Themes and all that.

From RAW I converted it to BW and used a red filter in CS3 to add more contrast. I also dodged and burned it. The clouds however were multiplied in from another shot as there was no real sky to speak of in the original.

Thanks for looking,

TW
