Photographer's Note
The second in my Poinsettia Festival series, which is held annually at Ellison's Greenhouses. Not all poinsettias are red or white (with green leaves). This one is red, white-ish, pink, and maybe a couple of other shades. I'm not sure how they got this one the colors it has, but it is natural. This plant attracted my attention because of how 2 of the "flowers" are almost perfectly divided into 2 different colors. No camera trickery or post processing was used to get this effect. This is how the plant really looked.
Some poinsettia colors are artifical. They had blue, orange, yellow, purple and a few other color poinsettias at the festival. However, these were artifically colored. They actually spray painted the "flowers" (which are actually leaves). On some they added glitter to the paint for a rather sparkly flower.
Techinal notes: No tripod, no cropping. Auto-levels, refocus, and unsharp mask.
