October Pond
near Island Lake
North of Duluth, Minnesota

This is a marshy pond on the margins of Island Lake. Every time I drove by I would say to myself .. someday I am going to pull off the road and take a picture here .. well this day seemed like a must.

Hey John,

A great picture of course, it`s absolutely brimming with different colors and hues, and more than that, the effect is replicated in the reflections. I`m guessing it doesent look half as attractive and interesting now when it`s all dull and gray. :)

Indeed the 5D is a very good camera, but dust is a great problem, as reply on your critique.
This is wonderful my friend, as well colors as reflections.

Hi John,
Your well thought out composition show the beauty of this pond as the autumn paints the trees with color. The blue sky above and in the reflection provides lovely contrast. I also love your Redpoll composition, details later, but I especially enjoyed hearing what a good time you're having in Minnesota.
