Hello Tom, Yes that is gnarly looking tree, but a great reflection in the water. The latter is extremely still, however it really adds to the scenery. May I assume this is a creek or river or is it lake? Good composition and nice depth in the shot. Regards, Roger

Hi Tom
Amitiés

You caught the old tree in some nice subtle light and the reflection adds interest to the subject. Looks like a great place to kayak.

hi Tom,
I really like the photo, the kayak looks like an arrow ready to strike the darkness of the forest. the mirror-perfect reflection adds to the illusion, almost impossible to tell what's real and what's not. difficult contrasty light, but the result looks good, nice shot.
best,
Kristine

Hello Tom,
Interesting photo, the tree is unusual and the reflection is so good,it is hard to to differentiate what is what. As always you have managed to make it into a great photo.
Thanks!

Hi Tom
Very nice autumnal composition from your kayak
In France you have a big choice to do kayaking in rough or calm rivers.

Tom,
This is a another great shot taken from your canoe. The tip of the boat gives the photo a nice sense of direction. The reflection adds depth and balance for the scene. The lighting and colors are fine as is the photo's sharpness.

Hi Again!
I am afraid I have done the same with the photos where you use the tip of your kayak as a very original signature!
Here the colours of the photo and of the kayak seem to match!
Very good reflections! You could nearly have turned the photo upside down, and perhaps the reflection would have been even bettre than the reality, because the blue of the sky looks deeper in the water!
Interesting old tree, and a good vocabulary lesson.
Thanks for sharing!
Marie Louise.
