SUNDAY IN THE PARK !

I've been to NYC four times, but this was my first time there with a digital camera! I revisited some places (Empire State Building, Central Park etc.) and visited some other ones for the first time (Top of the Rock, Roosevelt Island, Verrazano Bridge etc.)!

From the TOP OF THE ROCK (the top of one of the buildings of the ROCKFELLER CENTER), a view over the CENTRAL PARK, where white dots are people enjoying the sunny sunday afternoon!

Here, one can enjoy the view of all those green trees and lawns of that World Famous Park, the amazing amount of buildings surrounding it all the way to the BRONX, the HUDSON RIVER and the GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE !

La vue de Central Park depuis cette tour est fantastique . Il apparait ici vraiment comme une oasis de verdure au milieu de cette forêt de gratte-ciels .

Olá Neyvan,
From this excellent POV we can see how extensive the Central Park really is. Here it looks like Manhattan is enclosed between a blue and a green sea.
In my opinion the buildings in the lower right corner are a little too dark.
I've never been in NYC. So what is 'Top of the Rock' ? The top of one of the skyscrapers ?

This bird's-eye view of the central park and its surrounding is very impressive and interesting. The park looks like a green island among the stone jungle. The excellent photographic quality of the image allows viewing many details of the scene. Very well composed and masterfully captured!

Your shots of New York are great! Every photograph has an excellent POV. This one from “Top of the Rock” is fabulous showing that New York has a lot of green space and water as well as the exciting tall buildings and busy city streets. The colors, light, and DOF in this picture are outstanding.

The top of the rock makes a splendid prespective to capture the lush green park with its contrasting blue lakes.
The lovely island of green in wonderfully framed by the tall buildings of Manhattan.

Aprecio muito esta fotografia muito de uma boa qualidade, que descreve um aspeto muito interessante da cidade de Nova Iorque. Nunca tinha visto anteriormente também boa descrição deste parque. Excelente trabalho. Bravo.

Bonito o central parque rodeado de edifícios gigantes , interessante como resta esta pequena mancha verde, é um belo contraste entre natureza e homem ,parabéns!!

Mesmerizing view from the top of the Rockfeller Center. Haven't been to NY and haven't seen NY from this perspective even by photos. We see the peaceful co-existence of the metropolitan town with skyscrappers and the Central Park nearby. I wish to be one of those white dots to enjoy the beautiful weather:)

fotos do central parque a gente sempre vê por aí, mas este pov é privilegiado, mostra o local sob um ângulo novo, ao menos para mim. linda a luz, a nitidez e as cores. um trabalho bem feito. dá até pra ver o pessoal estendido no gramado

A fabulous view indeed!
I love to see cities from above and central park contrasts so well with the surrounding skyscrapers. you have framed it well and captured with a fine warm light.

il y a le la profondeur et de l'altitude dans cette vue. La paeltte de verts impressionnante pour central park, ce lieu poumon de cette grande ville où malheureusement des choses pas très licites, se déroulent tous les jours.

Hi Ney,
this is one of my favourite views from NY. It explains well the reason why Central Park is so amazing. I think if you just walk in the park it seems like any other park in the world, but this view shows its uniqness. I just like the contrast of the green field with the crowd of the buildings and the sharo line between them. The bridge far on the horizon makes an extra bonus.

Hi Neyvan,

Such good luck to have enjoyed NYC four times now. I look forward to visiting sometime, it's certainly high on the travel list. Looks like plenty of people are making the most of the day in that space there in Central Park. I think because of the great detail of this photo that I can see the Dakota building to the left of the photo, where 30 years ago today John Lennon was lost. Your photo reminds me of his legacy. A great image, supreme contrast between the built form and the 'natural' setting of the park. TFS.

from this viewpoint the city looks like a bunch of broccoli!

Hi Ney,
It is amazing to see so much greenery within this great city. Giving it a nice balance of nature and urban living. You photo also show the good balance of both, the texture on the tree is soft, but it served this purpose well with a more subtle and gentle quality, but the colors are rich in tone and well presented.
