Photographer's Note
Black and White Warbler
Another installment of I can't wait for Spring ...
Spring brings the return of many birds to the North Woods ..
One of the most colorful groups are the small songbirds like the warblers. Colorful except the Black and White Warbler (But even without color still a beautiful bird) ...
This particular one has returned to the woods just behind my back fence for the last two summers ... Seems to have a favorite birch tree ... I hope to meet him again soon.
The Black and White is a fairly unusual bird .. it has an unusually long hind toe and claw. They creep around tree trunks and branches. They are one of few birds that can climb in any direction on a tree trunk.

Namaste John,
excellent capture of this little bird on the tree. The DOF is fine. Like the sharp details of it with OOF background. Green background is nicely contrasting with the bird. Great shot. Tfs.
Best wishes.

Hello John,
A plumage much prettier than our warbler of the gardens in Europe… Very beautiful catch of sight on the bird which is marvelously emphasized on this trunk. The focus on your subject is good. I like much the position of the animal, ready to fly away apparently. Here on Versailles, with the lengthening of the days and the sunning, the birds are made more and more hear and bring us closer of the spring !!! Thank you John.
With all my friendships and with soon,
Jean-Charles

Hi John,
A very nice picture of a cute bird!
You avoided harsh light, producing a smooth but nevertheless very sharp picture.
Not an easy subject, even with a 400mm.
Have a nice day,
Frans

Tout simple John, mais aussi tout séduisant, pas grand chose à dire sur la technique, seulement sur le sujet qui me plait beaucoup.
Bien à toi.
Daniel.

Hi John!
You're really posting fast now:)!
I like this one a lot, because of the pov and also because of that green blurred background. I can imagine how difficult it is to photograph these birds. Good focus and colours!
