Photographer's Note

Chisolm Park and boat launch, on the shore of East Lake Tohopekaliga.

The smokey sunset is a result of a massive controlled burn to the north. Normally we have very clear skies (when it's not raining). On this day, the wind was also blowing enough that our picnic in the park was accompanied by falling ash, like dirty snowflakes. I didn't want to assume the reason for the burn, but I do know that the wild areas between our town of St. Cloud and the city of Orlando are being rapidly converted into those great subdivisions of houses, because the city is growing so fast. Is this what the American Natives felt when we white guys first moved in?

Enough social commentary. The sunset hour was still peaceful enough for this lone fisherman, and I wanted to save that quiet sense of aloneness.

Clarified and speckles reduced. Critiques, comments and workshops always welcomed.
