Photographer's Note
This image was taken inside a dark longhouse during the Spring Salmon Festival honoring the return of Pish, (Fish) in Chinookan language, into the waters of En che Wauna, (The Columbia River.) As you can see, it is also the cover of my first 2 published books, and is also on the 3rd book in progress of being completed today. Taken with 200 Fuji slide film, pushed 1 and 1/2 stops, and pulled to capture the rich colors. No tripod, no flash...
