Photographer's Note

A picture of daily life, Western children style. Starting young, children in our part of the world are busy learning to play soccer, while their younger sisters and brothers are learning to be good spectators. When I was growning up in the 70's and 80's, the kids in Florida were all joining Pop Warner football leagues. But all the local fields are now filled with kids of all ages playing a more world-wide sport. Not that American football and baseball are a thing of the past, of course, but we are getting a little more global in at least this small way. ;o)

I tried to take this from the point of view of the kids along the sidelines watching brothers and sisters on the field, but include the game in play on the field. I think there's too much green in between, and I don't like that I cut the girl in half, but it still looked rather cute.

I really like this shot. Brings me back to my childhood. Sometimes I think that shots of daily life in North America are boring and not "cultural", but I have to remind myself that what's everyday for us, is foreign and strange to someone else.
It is too bad that you cut the girl off, but I don't think that there is too much green - it emphasises that they are spectators rather than part of the game.

I like how you captured the ball at an optimal moment in play. I agree with you that the girl would have been better unchopped. Altogether, the composition is quite nice.

Good spectator view of the action, and a good note too. A small detail since you ask for input - I would have cropped the left part a bit to loose the shadow in the corner. The left part does not add very much to the picture anyway - the action is elsewhere.
