Photographer's Note
A while after the basalt columns, our captain cut the engine and we drifted into the river bank to see these ancient Native American petroplyphs. One website (The Megalythic Portal) identifies these as "Ancestral Carvings: 7000 year old petroglyphs carved in the wall of Hells Canyon."
This was on the Idaho shore of the Snake River.

Hi Murat
An interesting shot of the petroglyphs created by native American tribes. I saw some in Jordan but don't recall seeing any in Turkey, although I am sure they must have a few. Just did a quick search and found this.

hELLO DEAR mURAT
You captured this photo
from a very difficult
chosen point of view...
your phrase as following
gave me the idea of the difficulty...
....a while after the basalt columns
our captain cut the engine
and we drifted into
the river...
it seems so difficult to me

Hello Murat,
I expected something larger seen from further away when seeing the thumbnail, so the closer view surprised me. Both WS give us a better view of the petroglyphs, but the main photo shows us more of the surroundings. They are all interesting and well taken.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Murat,
A great close-up of these rock formations and the ancient petroglyphs, which stand out clearly from the darker background. The green and yellowish grass and leaves are appealing as well.

Hello Murat,
I regret that the discovered art treasures of the indigenous people of the USA receive very little attention and by that I certainly don't mean only here on TE.
It's all too often assumed that the history of the country only started with the arrival of the Europeans.
Glad that you present us three excellent photos of the wonderful petroglyphs on the rocks in the Hells Canyon.
BTW, Idaho is a state very few people in Europe know something about it.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Murat
A great capture of the petroglyphs but are those the real colours of the rock? If that blue is genuine it almost looks like iron ore.
cheers

Hi Murat,
I suppose with paintings like this there may be always an uncertainty that they were done by local children after school.
Great capture of this ancient art installation in the context of nature.
Very well done,
M
