Window in the Cloud, a photo from California, West

Photographer's Note

In the cloud fully covered mountain, I see a bright blue window. There is hope...

The following two of my previous posts (#1, #2) were taken in the same day looking from foot hill to the same mountain.

PP: noise reduction, enhanced contrast.

This is very well spotted, Wes! Beautiful view with all those clouds. Great mountains too and I like the composition with tree in the foreground.

Hi Wes,
What a wonderful clouds. Lovely blue colors.
I only had cut the tree in front first, than I had taken this beautiful picture and had drunk a beer at last.

A really beautiful image,Wes!Excellent compo with a lot of depth(thanks to the tree in the foreground).The "window"in the sky is an essential detail.Impressive landscape and impressive sky in a well balanced compo!

Hello Mr. Wes! Fine shot you have here. I love the hugeness of this place and greenness to be found. I like the linking of that blue window as hope. Your image quality seems pretty good here, but this shot is too old to be the Nikon. Good choices in PP and I can't see anything else that might need help. Hopefully you'll have your camera back for this weekend. Nice shooting there Wes!

what an amazing show the sky has provided for you. but for me, it is the dark tonality of the photo that is has made it so good. It is simply amazing.

Fabulous sky here, Wes. Are these the San Gabriel Mountains? The portal you have captured is dynamic and effective. My first impression is that there could have been more light on the tree, but on reflection I think that would have detracted from the awesome sky and clouds hanging over the distant hill. Well done.

Wow, almost surreal, these blue colors in the sky! It's beautyful to see how your attenton is drawn indeed to that one bright blue piece of sky. Nice mountains around with great diagonals.

The light reflected by the the different layers of clouds creates an amazing effect of a picture nested into a picture nested into ... All going away into that amazingly square aperture thru the clouds.
I like it.
