Photographer's Note
This picture shows the rainbow created by the morning sunshine to the mist of Yosemite Fall. I took my previous picture Yosemite Falls across from the brook atop of the rock on the right hand side.
Seeing I was wet like coming out of a shower, an Irish tourist joked to me that if I had found the gold pot. I showed him that the rainbow was still there. So, even if I found the gold pot, I did not take any.
A Side Note: The joke came from an Irish say: there is a pot of gold at the root of each rainbow. All my Irish friends in TE: correct me if I am wrong.

I can't resist a rainbow pic anyway, but coupled with a waterfall, I had to look. Well caught Wes, and very timely the story about getting wet!
I was just reading that Yosemite Valley was closed as of 5/16 due to flooding. http://www.nps.gov/yose/
I believe that pot of gold may have washed downstream by now. Glad you didn't!

Yo Wes
You managed to capture a mini rainbow in the mid of the fall. The color composition is beautifully executed, eventhough there's only a few color base.
Well done.

Bonjour Wes
J'hésite entre les deux photos, je choisis donc celle-ci à cause de l'arcenciel qui ajoute un "Most" à cette composition.
Je n'ai pas la chance d'avoir un si beau paysage à proximité de chez moi.
Hello Wes
I hesitate between the two photographs, I thus choose this one because of the rainbow which adds a "Most" to this composition.
I do not have the chance to have a so beautiful landscape near at home.

Dear Wes,
All Irishman or woman are satisfied now with this attitude. The rainbow in the background is very attractive, splendid colours.
Well done,
John.

Hi Wes,
Nice capture of the rainbow. You must be having a very good eye to catch a rainbow from a waterfall and guess you always have your camera around. A real postcard shot. Very well done.
And I thought the gold you find at the bottom of a rainbow is the leprechaun's gold..! too dangerous for my taste...:)

Hi Wes. You have achieved a double capture here - both the rainbow and the unusual shadow of the tree. Very well seen at the decisive moment. The shadows also play well in the foreground, interspersed over the foaming water and rocks. A very satisfying, well executed shot.

What a beautiful imaginary bridge you made here. Of course there is gold at the foot of the rainbow, and I think maybe you took some from the left foot of the rainbow?
Thanks,
Magnus

Very nice one, Wes, the rainbow colors really registered well on this catch of yours. The lights and shadows not only build a moody setting, but also direct the eye nicely to the main attraction in the right area of your frame. Beautiful shot.

Hi Mr. Wes. Congrats on your 101st shot! :) A great catch of something we rarely see on TrekEarth: rainbows. The rainbow must have been difficult to capture so well. If I were to make a suggestion I would lighten the shadows a little to show the nature and composition better. But still a most superb shot Wes!

Hi Wes
A lovely rainbow shot from a spectacular place. About the saying so is the swedis version that there's a tresure in one end and sand in the other. I bet you like every one else digged in the wrong end :)
Well done

Hi Wes
A great composition, enhanced by the beautiful rainbow. I like the way the river draws the eye across the shot, in the same way as the rainbow does.

Bonnjour Wes,
L'arc en ciel ajoute une palette de couleur à cette cascade d'eau turbulente, une photo très nette; compte tenu du 1/45e de sec., limite :).
Bien à toi.
Daniel.

Hi Wes,
I think that you have a great momment with this shot, because nothing is in focus but in a subtil and light blur. The light refraction of rays in the air like a small rainbow is a must in this capture.
Lovely and well seen!
