Tori Gate, a photo from Florida, South

Photographer's Note

Taken at Epcot Center, Walt Disney World, during their Flower and Garden Show for 2005. In front of the recreated Tori Gate you see the silliouette of a beautiful little Bonsai tree on display.

I was pretty pleased with the time of day and the different angle of the gate that I happened to capture here. Hope you like it.

This is a nice strong silhouette against a soft and subtle background Michelle. The light is very beautiful. I was in your state last month but didn't make it to any theme parks. Hope to post some shots of the wonderful Everglades and Miami Beach some time soon.

Wow you're very active again ;-) I like the soft and warm light and the Japanese silhouetted gate with just that little bit of colour to make it really work. Very atmospheric capture!

A beautifully captured light, Michelle, so soft and well-suited for the Japanese gate. The reflections in the water and the pillars of the gate mediate a lot of serenity as the day comes to rest. The composition is very nice although the bonsai tree is not that discernible. I like it - very well done!

Nice composition Michelle I guess it was early in the morning, time of day that makes almost everytime a nice picture. I like the light that you have captured on the lake, nice atmosphere, well seen.

Ensemble très harmonieux. Ce portique nous fait voyager au Japon, pays du soleil levant. Dommage qu'il y ait ce panneau pour expliquer le bonsaï.

Floating Tori (Gate to a Shrine) in Miyajima is one of the three most famous sites, both visited and photographed in Japan. You have done an equally impressive job of capturing the same essence as the one here. Kudos to you and your camera for this nice capture.
