Photographer's Note
There is not only concrete in New York City, there is nature too! (In some few places.) Do you know what place this is?..
By the way, the colors were more vivid on my camera and computer (I double-checked!) and became faded after the uploading. Do you know what happened?

Irina,
The basic composition is good and you have an excellent POV here. There is good balance between the foreground and the rest of the scene and the flowers give some good colour. However the building is rather washed out and needs some body. This is often even more important when your sky is dull. I have posted a Workshop which I hope you like. You obviously have a great eye; but here its the post processing. Cheers.

Hai Irina, I have not been to New York City so I wouldn't know the place.
I like the POV of this photo and certainly quite good with the lake and garden in front.

Great POV with the flowers in the foreground. The compo is good but the sky is a bit overexposed (difficult for everybody :-)).
About the uploading: you uploaded the pic at 56k and maybe for this kind of picture this is a too low definition. Try to upload near the 200k limit and the quality will probably improve.

Nice NYC photo.Bottom part of the photo looks nice with colorful flowers.I had same washed out Buildings problem during my Chicago shots unfortunately, strong sun and my cheap filter caused that and even ws didn't do good and hard to get a decent filter like Hoya here in Chicago unlike NYC :(
Cheers,

Great shot, I'm suprised you haven't had more critiques. I love the shot of the beautiful central park then with the concrete jungle there in the background. Great shot.

Hi Irina,
YOu chose a very nice angle from central park here. Central park in the summer is just stunning. I like the flowers, the lake and the concrete behind. Unfortunatelly the photo looks a bit overexposed and over-sharpned.
Best regards,
Ricardo

hi Irina.
I remember being at this spot last year and tried to capture a satisfactory image but was unsuccesful. You've managed to frame it perfectly
well done

Beautiful view Irina. I just love the views like this from the park. Especially when you focus on the park and forget where you are and then look up and see the skyscrapers lining the edge. It has evolved into quite a place. And this is a beautiful corner of the park. The water and trees and flowers all are so clam and peaceful and then the grand old buildings soar skyward at the back finishing the framing of this corner. These old buildings work so much better with the park than new glass ones. They have a beauty that complements the beauty of the nature.
It does need some work as has been said, especially burning the buildings to make them less faded. And just as a minor thing the little thing in the top left corner could be cloned or cropped out.
But the beauty of the park vs. was very well found and captured by you. It really conveys a feel of the impressive feel for Manhattan.
