Photographer's Note

Drive through North Maine the weekend of October 8-9, 2005.

This picture was taken at northern part of Maine, near Jay peak.

I like the contrast of the white and yellow with dark back ground.

This is such a beautiful image. The foliage really makes the bright white church stand out.

This is a really nice image - the quintessential New England church. Two things that I feel need mentioning; 1) the shadows are a bit too dark and should be lightened a bit, and 2) I would crop the road sign in the lower right.

Hey Jun (Chinese? :)),
The composition is pretty good though in this photo the road sign on the right and the street lamps etc. are disturbing, I think. The photo seems so "uneasy". I'd have zoomed in on the church or even some branch of those yellow-green trees in the foreground and focussed on one of them. In my opinion, a little more sharpness would also have been helpful.
But as I disapprove of reworking too much, esp. concerning light and shadows, I'd only crop the road sign on the right.
