Salut Rosie,
I like this picture and the way you resent it with large white frame.
Great B/W subject with this umbrella !

Hi Rosalie
This is a minimalist picture; The short cropping is excellent. I like the large white frame you give arount.
I like also the balck and white.
Well done

Hello Rosie,
it's a nice compo, the umbrella takes a large among of space here. A very nice moody stuff.

I'm desperately trying to share her vision of the beautiful Spring flowers flourishing in front of her ;o). Between the umbrella, and the thick white frame, there are only four corners left through which I can set free my imagination. So be it. I like the idea, and the centered position of your subject. I would have prefered that she didn't have white trousers though, so that my attention would focus on the umbrella first, and on imagining what is beyond it, next. I like your posts and your notes, Rosie.

Hello Rosie - a photo with lots of character & atmosphere, even if it is 'April showers'! :)
You know my preference for B&W anyway, but the way this is framed suggests to me how well it'd look hanging on someone's wall. Very very good! :)

very beautiful. the tilt of the umbrella taking up so much of the shot is really nice. It provides quite a mystery element too and a very intimate one. somehow you have evoked the feeling of being enclosed under an umbrella from a shot of the outside of one. well done,

Another nicely and carefully composed frame. The geometry of the umbrella and its tonality are in striking contrast with the circular thing...whatever it is [It's a shame that I am within 30-45 min of the Getty Center yet I have never visited there]. Excellent contrast.

Your work has attained such a distinctive look, almost minimalist yet something else again. I love the simplicity and tightness of this one. Very nice work yet again.
Best wishes,

Rosie,
This is gorgeous. The white pants, white umbrella, and white frame are a perfect triumviarate. The simplicity of the image is deceptive; behind it is a wonderful kind of balance. And of course I just love that fat, white frame.
Wonderful.

Hi Rosalie, how did I miss this one ? I like this one a lot, it's simple but in fact there are a lot of info here. This girl is turning her back, for any reason, then there is this "bush" in front of her and we can distinguish small silhouettes in the very background with a small reflection in front of her feet, a great job with very nice BW tones...
