Photographer's Note

At the Florida welcome station on Interstate 10 coming east from Alabama, one is greeted by a symbol of the U.S. Navy, who are stationed in many locations throughout Florida, including nearby Pensacola. This is a representation of one of the famous Blue Angels (official site). The Blue Angels are not war planes, but air show favorites, since the pilots train almost year round for the spectacular air stunts they perform.

After a long day of driving, it was nice pulling into our home (Florida anyway) and seeing the lovely sunset behind us. I liked how this Blue Angel seemed to fly into the wild blue yonder (oops, that's another branch of the armed forces), with just a sharp silliouette. Comments appreciated.
