Cape Kiwanda in Pacific City is one of my favourite places to visit on Oregon's north-central coast. The colour of the rock, its enormous sand dune, and the sea caves with waves crashing into them make it a great place to take photographs.

This was taken on a day in November just before Thanksgiving. Although it was a bit windy, it was not too cold, and the light conditions helped me get some really great shots. I do have to admit, these surfers are much braver than I to get in that water...even with dry suits on.
