Photographer's Note
Taken in Lubbock, Texas, just in front of my apartment. Today, Jan 6, the cloud is so unique. After taking a shower, I immediately came out and took the chance to capture the sky. I took it in RBG. Then, in photoshop, I used color filter into sepai. I increase the sepai level to 100%. And then I did a little on b/w contrast. And I hope you will like it.
I could not find a better title. If you can give me a title, I will appreciate it. Thanks

The title is perfect as is your photo it seems like soon the whole area will be taken over by the dark. The clouds are pretty cool and the the structures appear so insignificant given the size of the enveloping darkness. You did well with the sepia.

Hi Sothy,
I agree with snuggleaphagus about the insignificant structures. The clouds are great, although it would have been even neater if they had covered the whole sky; of course, you have no control over that. This is an ok POV, but I think a few others may have been better. One interesting idea would be to stand really closer to the building on the left (that one interests me more) and look up, so you only see the top of that building and the clouds. Another idea would be to incorporate the tree on the right more. It makes a great silhouette here, and I would like to see more of it. Maybe stepping to the right and focusing more on the building on the left with the tree in the foreground would be good. I just don't care for the building on the right. Although it makes a nice contrast with the older one, especially with the satellite dish between, it looks too new to be included here. Just some thoughts. TFS,
Chelsea

Hi Sothy,
Interesting image. The Sepia effect works well, makes the sky more dramatic. I like the contrast between the old house on the left and newer building on the right. Nice work.

Hi Sothy,
the sepia works really well ...
the sharp tree branches against it are actually my favorite part .. wish there were more of them .. interesting pair of buildings to include the one drips with antiquity the other looks like a stereotype of a fraternity house or something .. to me their moods are a bit at war . they both are very thoughtful structures against the sky.
wonderful image.
take care,
John

Hello Sothy. I can see why you got excited over these clouds. They are wonderful and amazing to see like this. I am sure there is alot of wind blowing up there to create this interesting pattern. Very nicely presented in a sephia tone. Good contrasing results.

Wow Sothy, strong work ! The Texan sky seems to take you in and inspires you to go beyond. I love this immense cloud cover lingering over the houses. The sepia gives a strange atmosphere as being from some other world.
Good you got out of the shower. I do these things too. In the cottage we have it gives this wow moments, so I go out in my pyjamas, stepping into the moon boots (in winter) and do pictures. I am always glad if there is no car passing by ... they would think I am crazy.
Have a pleasant Sunday, with plenty of such clouds, Barbara.

Bonsoir Sothy,
Un PP très original dont le résultat est spécial avec ce ciel sombre, menaçant, semblant écraser les maisons inclinées.
Bel essai.

Hey Sothy,
"Poltergeist Over Lubbock" Have you seen the movie "Poltergeist". This reminds me of the mischievous spirit that lingered their home and their entire estate!
Not that I put scare into your neighborhood but the sky can be interpreted as "something's up there". Great photo :)
Cheers!

Hi Sothy,
wow you really pushed the processing here! Its a dramatic result, the sepia gives the sky a unique feel. The clouds are also quite dramatic, creating a heavy ceiling over this residential neighborhood..its very ominous, thratening.

Hi Sothy,
No idea for another title, I think yours suits it very well. It's a very eye-catching and moody picture. Nice composition and very dramatic sky. The sepia tones participate to this strange atmosphere.
Nice job!
