Photographer's Note
Once I was new, precious and beautiful. My performance astounding. My leather soft and delicate. My paint polished and fresh.
Now I am old and dusty. People pass by and ignore me, unbeknownst to my pain and who I once was. What service I rendered. What places I’ve been. BMW, Porsche, Bentley and the like now gets all the attention I once enjoyed. But where will they be in the future? Would be they lying beside me here? In this old forsaken place? When something more appealing grace the roads and garages?
Nothing in this world is permanent..enjoy things while they last…

Hello Claire,
These old 19th century artifacts and museums that display them are the untapped treasures of the USA. I think that kids in the future who will be burned out with technology will find these museums fascinating. Excellent photograph and impressive use of fill-flash. Great job!

Hi Claire,
Wonderful capture of this black beauty which is seen in its natural environs. Very clear light renders fine details to this old stable, especially the rope. Clear crisp colors and sharpness with a thoughtful poem.

Hi Claire,
A relic of the past ... wonderfully captured. This must have been the equivalent of Porche then powered by a mustang :) Nice depth and contrast with good image quality. Well composed! tfs and have a nice weekend.

Hi Claire,
Probably this beautiful vehicle moved a lot of important people. You very well captured its mystique ambiance and dusty construction. Very nice contrasts between wood and its black color.
Friendly Regards,

Hi Claire,
I can relate to your note very much, considering my Dad and I have been using this new car, and so our old car has to say goodbye soon. I honestly feel sad whenever I get in our new car and take a look at the old one :( Yes, nothing in this world is permanent, so make the most out of every opportunity, "carpe diem as the Romans used to say.
Anyway, thanks for sharing this photo with us. I hope to visit this place someday but don't know where is New Paltz :P
Peace,
Kaye

Hello Claire,
I love this image of the old carriage, with the rope on the left representing a superb highlight, a second focal point as a counterpoint to the carriage itself. Excellent composition, colors and resolution.
Warm regards and have a good weekend,
Bulent

Hi, Claire,
this is a wonderful shot. I LOVE all the neat details you've captured and presented here. So many wonderful lines - vertical, horizontal, diagonal... everything is so sharp and clear and yet you can see the softness of the seat's fabric. The light is extraordinary. This really is a great shot and your note is outstanding. Many thanks and warmest regards,
Shelly
