This is a lovely image, almost monochromatic with the sky mountains and sea sharing similar hues, and the house adding a splash of colour and focal point to the scene.

This most definitely has the "Wow factor". The light blue of the sky suggests a pleasant day, whilst the low cloud and the waves indicate something much less pleasant is ahead. The muted colours work perfectly.

Stunning scenery, really well captured and technically excellent. It's a really good representation of the landscape.

I guess you have chosen to show the setting of the dwellings in this picture. However, you could also have taken the shot closer to the dwellings to show a bit more detail there. Great pic overall

I have never been to Alaska, but when I think of this place this is the kind of landscape that comes to mind. Excellent shot...the colors, composition, overall feel of the shot is wonderful. The buildings and people on the shore add a human touch to the image. Very well done!

Seward is an incredible place. When we went, we camped at the old railroad. Good memories, hope to make it back next year. THis is sharp, good colors, like the leading line here(shoreline). Good choice including the foreground buildings as it helps us see the light haze in the background. Nice shot here.

What a spectacular place ! I really like the DOF and the framing of the montains.

The shot taken from the shore really enhanced the perspective.

Superb location. The extra bit of light on the buildings really lifts them against the blue backgraound of the mountains. The problem with this shot is that I now have another place added to my list of "places to visit"!!

This is a very nice picture because of the dark side of the mountains and the soft clouds in the sky. The little waves bring some movement in the picture. Good shot

Beautiful picture with contrasting color, a dream place to live watching the water hitting the shore, thickness of snow changes with weather up in the mountains and home on the shore. Nice spot and best combination of mountains, house, shore and bluish tint.

Great shot. Very sharp details. I can stil remember seeing the house with the small room on top of it (most right house). Funny that one remembers something like that more then the view of the bay itself :)

Hi Ned, I hope that all is well. This photo came up on the TE front page, and I want to take the opportunity to bring it to a well-deserved score of 100. The inclusion of the curving foreground coastline and colorful houses provide just a perfect intro to the presentation of the grand scenery. The low-hanging clouds in front of the range is another detail that I like quite a bit. Beautiful shot.
