Photographer's Note
From http://www.deh.gov.au/heritage/worldheritage/sites/blue/:
The Greater Blue Mountains Area was inscribed on the World Heritage List at the 24th Session of the World Heritage Committee, held in Cairns from 27 November to 2 December 2000.
It is an area of breathtaking views, rugged tablelands, sheer cliffs, deep, inaccessible valleys and swamps teeming with life. The unique plants and animals that live in this outstanding natural place relate an extraordinary story of Australia's antiquity, its diversity of life and its superlative beauty.
The Greater Blue Mountains Area consists of 1.03 million hectares of mostly forested landscape on a sandstone plateau 60 to 180 kilometres inland from central Sydney, New South Wales. The property includes vast expanses of wilderness and is equivalent in area to almost one third of Belgium.
Despite the dryish climate, vegetation is really rich.

Hi Kari,
I like two things : the torn tree in the background and the "explosive" bush in the foreground. I regret to not see all the little details (specially on the right) but with a picture of 170ko, difficult to see them. The picture gives really an impression of dryish climate but also a rich vegetation. Good Colors.

Hello!
This shot shows nicely the variety of the different plants in that dry ground... Especially the spiky bush on the foreground looks so interesting that I would like to see another shot in which it has even bigger role.
Cheers, Juuso ;)

Hello Kari,
Very typicall Aussie bush vegetation and great colours. I love the uniquely shape of the eucalypt. Each tree is different and like a skuplture. Well seen and done. TFS

Hi Kari,
This pic really appeals to me. You have a wonderful contrast of colours, which are strong but not too bold. The differing types of foliage and the associated textures also contrast nicely to create a pleasing overall effect. Also, your composition is excellent and the light, which appears to be fairly intense, has been well managed. Beyond all of that, I find the scene to be very pleasing.
Well done!
Hugs,
Tony

Hi Kari,
I love the way you've framed this shot with the grassy clump in front of the interesting gum tree; great detail and color throughout...Pat
