Photographer's Note
Freshwater Beach shot from Queenscliff a few minutes after sunset. It's the next beach north of the famous Manly Beach on the stretch of Northern beaches of Sydney region. According to Wikipedia Freshwater Beach was the place where surfing was for the first time introduced to Australia at Chrismas Eve of 1914.

Hi Kari,
I do like the way you framed the curve of the beach with a bit of rock/bush in the FG balancing the bright light on the condo.
Well surfing certainly caught on - OZ is one of the few places in the world with surf over long flat sand beaches, like my beloved ocean Beach, except the water is warmer. Moolaba is the only place that ever made me consider abondonning OB. Most places either have a steep beach break of a reef.

I must admit that the thumbnail of this shot didn't really grab me, but I'm glad I came in for a closer look. You've caught some lovely light here, in that narrow window between day and night. A pleasing composition too, using the sweep of the beach. Well done!

Ooooh, Kari,
I LIKE this. That evening light is wonderful and it is an oustanding composition with the nice curve of the beach and the tall buildings well placed and catching the last glow from the sun. Beautifully sharp and lovely evening colors. Great job!! Thanks and kindest regards,
Shelly
