From Singapore to Sydney, a photo from New South Wales, East

Photographer's Note

Last year I spent my Christmas in Sydney and captured few photos with Christmas mood.
Who has not hear about famous Sydney’s Strand Arcade beautifully decorated during Christmas season and offering many opportunities for shopping or just relaxing with cup of coffee or cold drink.
It is a Victorian-style shopping arcade located in the heart of the Sydney Central Business District (CBS) between Pitt Street Mall and George Street.
It was built in 1891 and was opened in 1892, as the fifth and last of the arcades built in Sydney in the Victorian era. It is the only one remaining in its original form today. Nice place to visit.

It is nice to go somewhere before Christmas. The mood is so fantastic. Nice view of the Strand Arcade, I met some Aussies in Victoria Building.

Hi Miro,

You're capturing well thus arcade by a good angle, a good perspective and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see Victorian-style shopping arcade with classical structure and a good design. It's tasteful for ceiling and passage of arcade. And, it's also impressive in Christmas decoration, the exterior of the quiet color and many visitors.

What a pity that we missed seeing you in Sydney, but I understand how time flies so quickly and plans take over. This is one of my favourite shopping malls, one which my husband banned me from because it's too expensive. I love the golden colours, the excellent perspective created by the converging lines and your high POV. Nice work and a great photo for getting in the Christmas spirit.

that really is a beautiful building, and the point of view you chose shows its gallery design and its Victorian trappings beautifully well. So much the bonus that the whole thing is captured with the warm Christmas lights which look excellent against the darker colored wood finish of the place. Lovely scene of a lovely place. Shopping are more or less the same , this is interesting being so old, well preserved, like the colored glass at the low level and the bright Xmas decoration, smart, not too much

Love the lines and the linear perspective that leads through to the vanishing point in the far distance. I like the way the lights and signs balance into a kind of "square" in the FG part of the composition too.
