Photographer's Note

The other week I was required to drop a family member early on morning at Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. After I completed my chore I drove to the Three Sisters Lookout at Katoomba (on the verge of the Jamison Valley). This shot here is looking east to the Kings Tableland area at Wentworth Falls. Kings Tableland is about 9 kilometres from where I was standing. The floor of Jamison Valley is around 800 metres below me. What a marvelous sight, on a very brisk morning, observing a sea of mist with an ocean of clouds.

Clint would be proud to be associated with this capture, it's a cracker.
Love the way the mist is tumbling down into the valley.
Looks a bit chilly to me, brrrr.

Well it was well worth the trip to get a stunning image like this one with the dreamy clouds and fog swimming around above and below the rugged mountains.
This is what my brain looks like on Jamisons.

Hi Burraman, how's it going? Noice one! Almost an abstract painting here with all those layers of colour - and of course the 2 most beautiful combinations of colour. Love the unusual POV and the "floatiness" of it all. Your title's very clever too...man that was a spooky movie (shudder). You and the lovely one aren't free for a cuppa/lunch at all tomorrow are ye?

From the thumbnail I imagined this was a photo fom the window of a plane. On looking closer we would have been flying dangerously low! What a beautiful misty view - a pleasure to view! Tfs, Marlene

Hi Graham, I think it could make an interesting title for a movie ;-). At first I thought it was taken from an aeroplane but I guess I wasn't too far wrong. Beautiful rolling mist & wonderful atmosphere, crisp, clean & tranquil.
