Photographer's Note

Up in the hills behind the Gold Coast are extensive areas of rain forest. At Mount Tambourine the rain forest extends right into the middle of town with convenient access to walking tracks.
This hand held photo was of an area of palms with a strangler fig in the background. Strangler figs climb up other trees as a vine and gradually surround and strangle the host trees to become a free standing "trees" themselves.
