Photographer's Note
The Maheno, the most famous of the Fraser Island wrecks, was driven ashore just north of Happy Valley during a cyclone in 1935. Once a well-known trans-Tasman liner, the Maheno was bound for a Japanese wrecking yard when she met her stormy end. Today the hull lies slowly deteriorating in the harsh salt environment, about 10 kilometres north of Happy Valley.

This rusting boat looks great; I think that a complete view of the ruins at the same angle would look greater.
Unusual and lovely picture of the effects of metallic corrosion by salt. (Jean-Pierre)
P.S. I placed this one in my favorites

Nice shade of blue in the sky and yellow/orange on the wreck.
I like that the clouds and water are not over exposed

Hi Alaettin
very good composition and colors. Slowly but surely time, slat and water are doing their job. Just sad to leave it on a beach.
Very nice picture

That's superb!
Lovely combination of rust colours and sky blue. And the sand mixes with water with a nice grade. White spots of vawes, clouds and reflections are a bonus.

Well, it was indeed too far from Happy Valley for this ship to enter heaven, I guess. Very bnice composition, Alaettin. I love it how we can see the sea behind the hull as well, and the side of the ship takes us deeper into the picture to that beautiful sky.
Very nice colors as well!

Hello Alaettin - wow, stunning composition, the wreck looks so dramatic, I like the reflections of the clouds on the wet sand, and wonderful details on the wreck.

Hi Alaettin. Good viewpoint and overall composition here (as I've come to expect from looking through your collection). Beautiful colours, too. Overall, very attractive. Looks like a nice beach to go for a walk along.
Yours, Andrew.

It's one of these pictures immediately drawing one's attention. Evoking some sadness. Some eflections.
Great photo.
Stay cool Alaettin

Just had a look at all your pics and I really love this one. I like the way the wreck leads you into the photo.
Have you done any hue adjustements to the pic. I would be interested to know how the focal lenght used and if a filter of any kind was used ...

This one is even more intersting shot, Alaettin! The POV shows incredible sharp details on the wreck´s rust. Nice to see the sea between the wreck! Excelent colours! The wet sand reflecting the sky on left really add to this photo! Well done my friend!
