Photographer's Note
Continuing my series from the Birsville and the Birdsville Track with a reposting of a photo I posted some time ago - cropped, sky and colour improved.
Birdsville is a legendary town in the outback of Queensland. It is an inhospitable but beautiful part of Australia. Not many trees grow well in the area but the Waddi Waddi trees are quite happy. They have a distinctive drooping foliage and extremely hard timber. Most of the time you have that classic very blue Australian inland sky to contrast with the red earth.

Bonjour Ian
Un bon cliché de ce lieu désertique. Je ne connaissais pas cet arbre et grâce à toi j'aurai appris quelque chose aujourd'hui. C'est celà TE !
Merci pour le partage et bonne journée.

Hi Ian
Looks like you have managed to find the largest tree the Waddi Waddi in the entire area, this one looks very healthy and a good source for a little shade in the relentless sun. Seeing your pic's makes me miss the Outback, I love it out there.
TFS Cheers Peter

Hello Ian,
I like discovering so one of the surprising landscapes of Australia. The photo brings to light well the typicité of the vegetation. The photo is balanced, bright, colored pleasantly, and clear. Bravo.
Have a nice day
