Photographer's Note
I have driven past this location in East Brisbane often. I always admire the view from the busy road and think that one day I must stop, explore and photograph it. On a late afternoon a few days ago I did just this. I was pleased to discover that there is a path under busy Wynnum Road Bridge and this bought me closer to the view over the Brisbane River towards the inner city suburb of New Farm. In the distance and around several bends in the Brisbane River some of the tall buildings and cranes of the central business district can be seen.
I watched a man keeping clear of the Citycat catamarans and ferries as he stand-up paddled across the river and up Norman Creek. Stand up paddle surfing is an emerging global sport with a Hawaiian heritage.

Hi Marlene, nice shot with a fantastic view and exceptional silhouette. Really liked the way sun shining from the side over the man in the waters.

Hi Marlene,
I have been meaning to explore this area more, my partner lives just nearby, so I should take a walk sometime. I have been thinking of walking more of the city and surrounds, to discover it more and take some shots.
I love this composition, the arch from the bridge, the corner of sunlight and the buildings in the background, the standing paddller is fantastic touch, kind of like a classic shot.
Have a nice weekend,
Justin

Hi Marlene,
A pleasant view, framed by the bridge above. An interesting activity here, I never heard of this before. But as a boy, we used to build rafts of timber that were floated down our local river, kind looked like this, I suppose.
Kind regards
Gunnar

Hello Marlene
Very different POV from under the bridge span with the sun setting on the horizon highlighting the buildings with its golden glow and silhouetting the man paddling his board across the shimmering river. Nice

Hi Marlene !
I like this photo because it has a lot of different features all combining to make it interesting.
The silhouette of the buildings, the sun in the corner, the overhead bridge, the paddler and a very nice range of colours.
Great shot. Have a nice Eastern.

Hello Marlene,
Although just a silhouette the paddler is a very strong eye-catcher. He is a spectacular detail in this composition which would have been fine even without him. The colours around the skyline are spectacular and the bow of the bridge has become an elegant part of the view.
Best regards,
Gert
