Photographer's Note
This image was taken at the Australia Zoo. This young koala was climbing all over its mother and the tree that its mother was trying to sleep in. I could have stood and photographed this koala for hours but its mother only put up for its antics for so long before she forced it back in her pouch and curled over on it, forcing it to calm down and go to sleep.

I understand that you really enjoyed the moment (so would I), but was it possible to avoid using the flash? I hope this animal didn't fall from the tree when you blinded it. I'm afraid the flash light made this scene look flat.

I agree with Asiulus, the flash had killed this image stone dead, giving it Flat forms with no light modeling and a horrible flash in its eye. I learned on TE, that apart from occasional fill in flash, perhaps, when you are shooting against the light, nearly all the good TE photographers never ever use flash. Also, most people do not post close ups of animals of TE, the belong more of TN.However you have frames the koala nicely and the subject fills the frame nicely. regards
