Photographer's Note

Uluru was known as Ayers Rock and is somewhat an Australian icon.

Set in the Uluru–Kata Tjuta National Park, Uluru is sacred to the Pitjantjatjara Anangu, the Aboriginal people of the area. Many people climb the rock although this is considered offensive by the local Aborigines.

I had hoped for a nice sunset background, but the evening remained dull, so I decided to bring some foreground interest into the shot.
