This is a macro shot of a Golden Orb Weaver in the passionfruit vines on our farm. This shot was taken at first light using the macro function on the lens.

Hello Geoff,
Our well planted garden here in Brisbane is infested with these guys. But we like them, keeps down the mubers of mosquitos. As long as they build their webs higher than head-height, we will live well side-by-side. It is however, not fun to encounder one of these on the face in the evening light....They are harmless as I am sure you would know. Ecellent positioing and thus clear details are seen here. The very delicate features of the spider's anatomy are clearly seen, as well as the structure of her web. Yes, this one is a girl, they guys are only tiny, about 1/4 the size. Have a good day.
