Photographer's Note
This afternoon I walked out into my backyard and was amazed at the cloud formation. What took me out was the noise of a intenational jet lumbering over my roof (besides I am a slightly addicted plane spotter).
Anyway looking at the sky I was struck with amazement of this cloud formation created by a threatening storm that was scooting from the south west toward the northern beaches. This photograph I captured in the skies above the inner western suburbs of Sydney.
It made me then ponder what magnificant cloud formations must pilots come accross while they wander along the air highways of the world. Dedicated to ELO - Strange Magic.

Ciao Caro Burraman, I hope your shirt's back on :) Happy New Year to you and the lovely C. This cloud formation reminds me of something out of a Space Odyssey. Really weird weather you're getting - yet Mr Abbott strill refuses to believe in Global Warming! I like the cropping, colours and the composition, but most of all the idea behind it. Stay well, spk to yu after the 12th. Hugs, Lisa

Hello Graham,
The sky seems in boiling. The image is worrying as in best films of science fiction. The antenna which is usually an object visually polluting on the photographs, is here an element which adds to the mystery. It is an idea and an original image extremely opportunely carried out. Cheer.
Have a nice day
Cordially

A great sky Graham. You've captured all the weird shapes really well. Had a great sky on New Years eve out here but I was too lazy to go and get out tripod etc.
cheers

Hi Graham,
I was coming down Pittwater from a day's fishing on Tuesday and saw this amazing cloud formation. Actually by the time it had got to me it was even weirder.
Love the inclusion of the tele antenna and the chimney.
Good exposure, you achieved excellent definition on the clouds.
Cheers
Pete
Thought we'd get together when the mouth gets back from Tassie.

G'Day Graham,
Wonderful textures and shapes to this magnificent silver blue sky.
No pennies found looking towards the sky but we get a priceless view.

Hello Graham
A most interesting storm cloud formation, looks a little strangely menacing, well captured and well titled. TFS
