Photographer's Note
A couple of years ago I posted a photo of this arch taken on an overcast day. At the weekend I took a new version late afternoon on a well lit day - I think it's much more successful (the older version is still in the Hill End folder if you want to see it).
Golden Gully at the old gold mining town of Hill End has suffered from much erosion, some natural, some man made but resulting in the good formations. When you walk along the gully you see lots of openings in the gully walls into old mine tunnels so it is a fascinating area.

Hello Ian,
It was no so easy to have the right exposure, but you managed to do it (even if the cloud is a little bit over-exposed).
The POV is interesting and the sharpness is excellent.

Hello Ian!
Interesting natural formations, a good view. The foreground intensity is okay, but the background is a bit overexposed. The sky and the leaves a little beégtek. The rock, however, the play of light and shadow turned out well.

Hi Ian
Nice capture with nicely managed exposure. The colors are fine and the hole is interesting if its man made or natural. nice capture,

HI Ian
I never knew this treasure was waiting for us at Hill End, you really do get yourself into the most interesting little corners of Australia. Wonderful colours - so typically Australian - and great light management in what looked like difficult conditions. I like the vertical frame too.
Thanks for sharing, hoe you enjoying a Cold One in this heat

Hello Ian,
I like very much this photo, almost two photos in one, with this semi-close-up and the far off bright and clear landscape. The landscape is magnificent. The quality is excellent. Bravo.
Have a nice day
