Balmoral Swimmers, a photo from New South Wales, East

Photographer's Note

Every morning of every day throughout the year there are early morning swimmers at Balmoral Beach. Even in the middle of winter they are swimming in darkness. The sun is now staring to surface a bit after 6am theses days with Spring coming shortly.

Balmoral is a beautiful little area on the northern side of Sydney Harbour. Sydney Heads are clearly visible from Balmoral Beach.

Although it is a very wealthy area - an enormous amount of locals are out early morning swimming, running, walking dogs, fitness classes or walking / running the Balmoral Burn Hill (which is where I meet a friend and walk the hill and it does burn).

Lovely composition on a fantastic beach which is protected from the big waves.
Nice colours. The photo has the mood which is so typical of most beaches in Australia during the early mornings.
Graham..... in the future..... less cooking and more photos !!!

hello graham, Interesting idea to put the three photos, we see it like a movie. Very fine picture.
We have in Poland also swimmers in Baltic in winter, but our winter is quite different than that in Sydney :). Nice shot.
