Photographer's Note

Sculpture by the Sea is an annual event between Bondi and Tamarama in eastern Sydney. Over 100 works of art are displayed along the coastal walk and it attracts tens of thousands of admirers to see the work. This years winner was this spherical work titled 'horizon' by Lucy Humphrey.

Hello Chris ,
This is a simple , but very attractive picture . The sculpture is original and teh composition is perfect , in this well chosen panoramic format . I like especially the beautiful cloudy sky .

Hello Chris - I think I have seen some of Lisa's shots from previous year's submissions. What a great idea to get people out walking and enjoying art. I do like this shot and the way you have used the narrow horizontal frame. Simple and well managed a shot which intrigues. Warm regards Rosemary

Bonjour Chris,

J'aime beaucoup la place que prend la sculpture dans l'image ainsi que l'espace qu'elle laisse au ciel et à la mer. Le nuages très menaçants apportent une touche dramatique à l'ensemble.

Interesting sculpture! I love how it contrasts the scene, the smooth serence blue circle against those violent looking clouds, i just love it. Nice framing and presentation.
