Photographer's Note
1 hour north of Melbourne and little north of Hanging Rock is Jim Jim, a smallish hill. It's just the place to see the start of a beautiful winter but sunny, chilly and windy day. On the hill-top are distorted trunks of gum trees that can cope with the exposed location. 50 metres below are tall eucalyptus trees more suited to shelter.

This is Australia ... a wonderful picture and a perfect light. I can almost smell the air filled with eucalyptus! I like it very much.

I really like this Barry, a lovely capture of light and wonderful patterns in the trees - both in the foreground and the distance.
