Photographer's Note

Mar del Plata is know by its famous beaches and very nice night life during the summer days, going to the southern area of the city we find the port of the fishers and in a corner we find a big group of sea-wolves resting under the sun, a little more ahead there is a kind of ship's cemetery. I took many shots in this place but the light wasn't so nice and the animals themselves aren't so much interesting like a group to take photos cause their brownish color, it is like a group of rolling stones.... It is very interesting to watch them and way they live together but it is really difficult to make a good photo of the while group in few time. It is a pity these animal stay in a not so safe area, they are "protect" only by a rusty wire fence, at side of a road, surrounded by people who want to see them, many of this people aren't so nice for them. Another interesting thing about these animals it this group is made only for males, the females are living in the other side of Plata River (Uruguay)and they do a meeting during sometime inside a year. I got to shot this animal alone, maybe it was put off the group cause they fight a lot, during each minute of the day, they are ever fighting cause space of to show their power (you know what testosterona can do hahaha). People say they smell bad but the wind was protecting me in that moment. If you want to know Mar del Plata, goes there to know these animals.
