Photographer's Note

CERRO ALCÁZAR, located near the small town of CALINGASTA, surrounded by multicolored mountains, is hidden from the road I was driving along and I almost missed it (I've done that with other places I wanted to visit).

Incredibly wild scenery.
In wonderful colours.
A very attractive composition with the road curving to the left and at the right something like a dry riverbed.

This is an amazing landscape, with wonderful colours, like stripes in a stick of candy!
The road guides us in nicely but then leaves us to marvel at the scenery around!
An excellent exposure for details and colours.

sorry i've missed so many of your recent photos.

well, i'm glad you didn't miss out on this hidden road, its a great one at that. love the dirt road winding through the scene. and the way the rock formations are set back and in a strong upwards stance, as if they're looking DOWN on anyone near by.

great to have the clouds fill our the remainder of the scene too, cool colours and contrast levels. cheers

Wow! what a magical place, this is gorgeous beauty of mother nature and really are amazing to see. You chose an excellent view-point to include the lovely bit of interest in the foreground with lovely sky and clouds formation to hold together. That's a wonderful formation with its various colours and textures, for me personally that's a shot to die for.....
