High up in the mountains, La Paz is a city of many contrasts. In the neighborhood of Sopocachi, where this photo was taken, modern high-rises compete with old traditional houses with well kept gardens and parks. This is the city's most cosmopolitan area, and you can find some decent eating and going out places around here.

Beautiful Illimani, "the shining one", can be seen in the background on the left, while Muela del Diablo is towards the center. On the foreground, Plaza Abaroa and Calle 20 de octubre can be seen towards the right.

The shot was taken from a 17th floor window using the fish-eye effect in my daughter's amazing new camera.
