Water everywhere !, a photo from Parana, South

Photographer's Note

"The Devil's throat" is the name of this powerful section of the Iguaçu falls. This picture was taken from the Brazilian side. If you compare it with other posts on TE, you will see that the water is surprizingly transparent here. It must depend on the season, water level, etc. We were told that at the time of our visit, the flow rate was only one half of its normal value because of low rains and water being stored for electric power plants upstream in Brazil. Nonetheless, the view (and noise!) remain quite impressive.

wow!!!! fantastic falls, the picture and your description...I love these trips around the world via pictures (at least)and I can say at first...about 2 weeks ago, I had seen pictures from Dominican Republic, and the advertisement link on the left here on TE. I am going there on September 17...

Ça déménage je vois ! La photo manque un peu de punch la mise au point ayant été faite à ton insu sur les branches à gauche. C'est un truc fréquent avec les photos de chutes, la brume faussant l'autofocus. Un polarisant aurait pu minimiser le problème mais dur dur avec un Ixus 400. Enfin c'est gentil de nous faire partager ces images fantastiques de Iguaçu, une des 3 plus grandes chutes du monde.

Très belle photo d'un endroit très sauvage et très naturel. Je ne m'imagine pas ce que cela doit être lorsque le débit est maximal.

Bon cadrage, belles couleurs. Beau travail.

belles images d'Argentine que tu as dans ta gallerie. J'aime bien celle ci qui rend la taille des chutes d'Iguacu. Sympa egalement l'arc en ciel. C'est effectivement tres impressionnant le bruit notamment au dessus de la gorge du diable...
